Heat Pipes

HEAT PIPE TECHNOLOGY - FOR COST EFFECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER

Heat Pipe is a heat-transferring device working on the principle of evaporation and condensation cycle. Device is filled with a working fluid, a heat-transferring medium. Working fluid evaporates at one end extracting heat from heat source and dissipates to ambience at condenser end through fins. Condensed liquid is transported back, within heat pipe to evaporator end repeating infinitely.

Types of Heat Pipes offered :
Natural Convection
Forced Convection
Advantages of Heat Pipe
Heat Sinks
Applications
High thermal conductance - higher wattage removed.
Capability to control thermal flux.
20 to 40% reduction in weight and volume.
Very long life (>10-20 years).
Cost comparable to conventional extruded heat sinks.
No maintenance - No moving parts.
No restriction on orientation of heat sink.
Cooling of Semi-conductor devices like Diodes, Thyristors & IGBTs in rectifiers, inverters, units and modules of electronic equipment etc.
Cooling of Control panel & Optical cable junction box.
Cooling of Servers / computers / Laptop etc.
Waste heat recovery in HVAC / Dehumidifiers and use in Grain dryers, tobacco dryers etc.
Use in die-casting & injection moulding dies.
¢ Solar energy applications and also in Cryogenics use.
Heat pipes can be successfully used not only in radio, electro-technical and power industries, but in engineering, metallurgy, light, food and chemical industries, in construction, transport, agriculture and medicine for heat transfer and management.
